What We Do
When delivered with skill and care by experienced professionals, the performing arts are an incredible vehicle to help shape young people into confident adults. At MTA we do just that.
Established in 1981 MTA were forerunners to launch premium but affordable performing art classes for children and young people. Our school and theatre company have helped thousands of young people learn performing art skills in a fun practical way and at the same time enriched them with a whole host of life skills. Today we continue our journey to empower our children and teenage members helping them to realise their full potential by bringing to the fore their natural creativity, then shaping and directing this through our framework of practical classes.
Our class programmes are delivered by industry specialists, but also professionals that are qualified teachers – factors that make a real difference when it comes to teaching standards, pastoral care, enjoyment, and striking performances.
MTA ACADEMY
We are a school and theatre company, so we do not need to run a “one shoe fits all approach” such as the franchises we see today. This means you can choose single classes or class combination programmes that can include any of Acting, Acting & Musical Theatre, Commercial Dance, Tap Dance, Ballet School, Solo Singing Lessons, and through our theatre company children have the additional option to rehearse and perform in our full-scale shows staged in professional theatres each year.
